If you need a classic hardwood tile that survives rain, snow, ice and sun ( just like our premium SwiftDeck Ipe tiles) but don't need the option of other tile styles or sizes, our lower cost LinkDeck range would be your ideal choice. Built to the same high standards as our SwiftDeck range, and using only wood species with proven high durability and dimensional stability, our LinkDeck tiles are a truly versatile option for both fully exposed exterior applications or interior uses such as basement floors, three season porches or sunrooms.
LinkDeck is exclusively offered in our ECO range of deck tiles using only selected wood species sourced from sustainably managed forestry plantations – not from illegal forestry operations or clear felling of old growth rain forests.
With a choice of either silky, golden brown Teak or stunningly exotic purple/black Indian Rosewood, you can be sure your new patio, balcony or roof deck will not only amaze your friends but provide ongoing enjoyment year after year.
And you'll have the peace of mind in knowing your wood deck was made exclusively from non endangered wood species sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Wood Species Options
Teak |
Highly prized for boat decks, high end interior flooring and outdoor furniture, teak is renowned worldwide not only for its attractive appearance, satiny smooth surface and resistance to splintering, but its exceptional resistance to expansion, contraction and warping in fully exposed exterior situations.
And although plantation teak may not possess exactly the same characteristics as old growth teak since it is harvested at a much younger age, it displays the same rich golden brown color, contains the same natural oils that repel water, resist decay and insect attack, and is highly resistant cracking, warping, expansion and contraction.
With a unique combination of high durability, stability, classic good looks and timeless appeal, it’s understandable that teak is often known as the "The King of Hardwoods"
Indian Rosewood |
This exotic wood is typically dark purplish brown with dark brown to dark purple streaks and occasional pale creamish purple streaks, mainly on the edges of the wood slats. As a decking material, not only does it earn praise for its stunning, exotic appearance, but its density, strength, dimensional stability and exceptional durability, places this species firmly into the top rank of lumber species ideal for fully exposed exterior locations.
Because of Rosewood's rather unique color, it can give the impression that the tiles have been stained - but not so. The tiles are only coated at the factory with a clear decking oil.
If you’re looking for a dark toned natural wood surfacing material with dramatic impact, Indian Rosewood is hard to resist.
Edge Finishing
| The LinkDeck range does not include matching edge reducers of the same wood species. However it is possible to clip on SwiftDeck Ipe wood reducers to the Teak tiles. It is NOT possible to clip SwiftDeck reducers to the Rosewood tiles because the connecting mechanism is a different design. If you wish to hide the view of the plastic base from the side and create a neat edge finish, we suggest you obtain lengths of anodized aluminum profile (bronze or black) with an "L" shaped profile approx. 1" wide. Then screw the profile to the outside edge of the outer row of tiles as in the illustration alongside. |
Interlocking Base
| • Symmetrical design for ease of installation • UV stabilized polyethylene • In-built interlocking tabs on all 4 sides • Slat attachment: Corrosion resistant screws • Engineered to support over one ton of weight • Workable temperature range: -100°F to 200°F (-73°C to 93°C) |
